Abstract
Crowdsourcing is popular for two reasons. It draws from a global pool of talent and it is where people are acknowledged for the quality of their ideas rather than for their formal academic qualifications. All that matters is the final product, not the backgrounds of those who contributed to it (Howe, 2006). However, in order to make the tasks be able to be carried out by the crowds, the tasks should be modularized. In order to to reduce problem-solving interdependence among tasks, the tasks themselves need to be specified.
