Abstract

PT. HRS Indonesia is a manufacturing company that produces two types of components, namely Automobile Parts and Bearing Lathe for PT. NSK Bearing Manufacturing Indonesia. PT. HRS Indonesia has several supply chain problems, namely delays in the arrival of raw materials (≥ 10 days), product defects, and delays in delivering bearing lathe components to customers. It affects a decrease in the level of customer satisfaction. This study aims to reduce waste and improve the efficiency of the company's supply chain by applying the Lean Supply Chain (LSC) method. LSC used several tools such as value stream mapping, process activity mapping, value chain analysis, five whys, and fishbone diagrams. The proposed improvements apply GPS to track the delivery of raw materials from suppliers and TPM to overcome sudden engine failure. Companies are proposed to apply Poka-Yoke to reduce operator process errors and defects when performing visual checks, Production SOP, Supplier Evaluation Form, and Training for Operators. Based on the proposal, the results obtained were improvements from the initial PCE value of 23.47% to 36.05%, mapped using Future State Mapping.
