Abstract
Tourism publication with entrepreneurial spirit in Indonesia continues to develop but is limited to one field. Based on a bibliometric approach, this study aims to conduct visual mapping studies and to investigate field trends of tourism in Indonesia. Secondary data from Scopus was used in this investigation. with bibliometric approaches. Use the VOSViewer program to analyze and visualize the data search results function on Scopus. This study analyzed 2,485 scientific documents published from 1983 to 2020. According to the research, the Universitas Gadjah Mada and Ginting, N. in tourist research, has the most active associated institutions and individual scientists in Indonesia. The most studied and disseminated channels of tourism research in Indonesia were environmental science and the IOP Conference Series Earth and Environmental Science. There were four category maps of collaborative researchers. Based on the discovery of a body of information generated from over thirty-seven years of publication, in this research proposes a grouping of tourism in Indonesia publication themes: Water management, Indonesia, Information management, Tourist activities, Economic, and Ecotourism, abbreviated as WIITEE publication themes.
