Abstract
This work discusses the importance of the application of ERP software in the management of small and medium enterprises, especially regarding the scenario of digital transformation, fostered by the pandemic of COVID19. Small and medium enterprises have great representation in the Brazilian economy. Part of the management problems faced by these companies is linked to quality in decision making since they are not always come with good technical basis planning. Furthermore, the pandemic and post-pandemic scenarios require a faster and more effective decision-making, thus making decisions obtained by guesswork or conjecture impossible. ERP software aims to automate processes, integrate all data, and synthesize them into key indicators, thus allowing the entrepreneur to make intelligent decision making in real-time, which can not only mean growth but mainly the survival of businesses today. This work combined different databases to demonstrate the benefits to enterprises that have implemented ERP software, main points about acquisition and implementation of the software, as well as the integration with other digital tools that support the pillars of Industry 4.0.
