Abstract
Disney characters always lead to gender development. Like a Disney princess who always depends on her prince to save her life. But now, the pattern is experiencing changes that occur in female characters. Women are no longer in a passive position, but they begin to develop to be strong, challenging, and independent. Through this paper, researchers will discuss several phases of the transition of female characters in Disney film production. By focusing on research questions, namely, how the nature of Disney women experience a shift as a form of gender equality? To answer this question, researchers will use qualitative research methods that emphasize the depth of research and the results of the Disney film analysis.
