The new industrial revolution which called industry 4.0 will radically change the factories into a smart manufacturing. In current research it is concluded that lean will be an important part of this revolution, adaptable lean tools to industry are required to manage the difficulties of the connected industry solutions and to keep the explosion of information flow which caused by internet of things (IOT) in the right way. Some lean tools are adaptable, but what about other tools?
This study identifies the challenge in the integration of Lean tools in industry 4.0 and discusses the possibilities of their adaptation.
