Abstract- In today’s work place settings to grip the emotions rightly at right time to have right outcome is a challenging job and to thrive for learning at a same work setting is even more. So this study examines the relationship of emotional intelligence on career satisfaction and work engagement with the mediation of thriving and moderation of Power Distance under the light of Broad and Build theory and the study shows that the emotional intelligence has significant positive association with career satisfaction and work engagement in the under graduation academic sector of Pakistan. The reliability was performed to measure the consistency of items through Cronbach’s alpha reliability and the values were significant for this study. The study with predictor was having a significant impact on chosen dependent variable which was observed through regression analysis and full mediation was observed for the chosen mediator. Whereas moderation was observed insignificant in this study and was neither strengthening nor weakening the relationship. Finding of the study reveals that hiring of emotionally intelligent individuals in academic organizations results in more satisfaction and engagement of employees in work settings. And the high Power Distance orientation between Leaders and employees do not affect the urge of thriving to learn and vitality in individuals, at workplace settings of high Power Distant societies like Pakistan.
