: Classroom questioning is one of the most common used and the most important method in the classroom teaching. Through asking questions in class, teachers can encourage students to actively participate in the class, thereby improve their oral output abilities. The paper focuses on various impact of classroom questioning on oral English output of junior high school students. This research selects the sixth middle school in Xi’an as a case study, adopting questionnaire method, comparative analysis and other methods to explore the existing problems in classroom questioning on oral output of junior high school students and to discover some countermeasures to solve the problems. This research can be used for reference to improve teachers' questioning skills and improve the quality of classroom teaching.
