A case study was conducted to propose a redesign of a workplace of Visually Impaired and Blind Massage Therapists, sponsored by a franchise of this service. The researchers gathered previous studies to set standards to the workplace and then surveyed the workplace setting, interviewed the operations manager, used an Ergonomic Workstation Checklist and the OSHA Ergonomic Assessment Checklist. It was found out that the highest risks of the workplace was the height of the massage table, and the small workspace resulting in habitual absences of the therapists. In order to avoid that, it is highly recommended to change their massage tables into adjustable heights, elongate both the length and width, and expand the massage therapy room in order for the therapists to move comfortably.
