We are truly in an international world. The isolation of companies by country or economy is not a feasible measure of programs in the current economic conditions. Companies have continued to operate in methodology developed 40 years ago and work in hours versus currency.

This as shown by statistics, such as CII, reflects that 66% of projects are over budget and behind schedule. Based upon these facts there are numerous project control systems that have been introduced which have had a profound effect on programs, which only 34% are utilizing.

This presentation will demonstrate through 4 case studies of actual projects at different phases the cause, effects, issues, success, and failures. The programs will demonstrate the issues in which a program can be successful by utilizing the technical practices as identified by the Association for Advancement of Cost Engineering International (AACE), from recommended practices, Total Cost Management Framework and fundamental Skills and Knowledge.

The review of the programs will discuss software, multiple currencies, multiple languages and applications of EPCM, PMO types of organizations.
