Biography

Dr. David Martínez-Prieto is an assistant professor at the Department of Bilingual and Literacy Studies at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. David concentrates on analyzing the development of multilingual teachers at the intersections of transnationalism, translanguaging, neocolonialism, and neoliberal practices. David has taught in undergraduate and graduate teacher education programs in the United States and México for almost 15 years.
