Biography

Dr. Rossana Boyd is a native of Tegucigalpa, Honduras. She earned a B.A in Education from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Honduras, a Masters' degree in education from Southeastern Louisiana a University, and Ph.D. from Louisiana State University. She has extensive experience as a bilingual teacher, Spanish teacher, ESL teacher, instructor for teacher preparation in ESL and bilingual education in higher education at the University of New Orleans, Southeastern Louisiana University, and the University of North Texas. She has served NABE on the executive board on six three-year terms as parent representative, president, secretary, and member at large. Currently, she is a principal lecturer at the University of North Texas and a co-chair of NABE's Bilingual and ESL Special Interest Group.
