The results of previous research conducted by the research team found that Langkat Regency in Indonesia has sufficient potential for the development and application of alternative energy to strengthen the energy security of the community, one of which is micro-hydro and solar power. To support this, it is necessary to make efforts to improve the quality of generator tools, especially in the scale of home use and rural areas that are difficult to reach by the state electricity network. The tool used to help this increase is Quality Function Deployment (QFD). QFD can help to make product design decisions based on what customers want with the company's ability to carry out the production process. Determination of the level of consumer interest is used to determine the extent to which consumers provide an assessment or expectation of existing consumer needs. The assessment of the level of importance of the variable consumer needs is obtained based on the mode value in the questionnaire. Determination of product technical characteristics is carried out by discussing and conducting interviews with related parties, in this case, interviews are conducted with local residents who are familiar with the Utilization of Alternative Electrical Energy Sources. The results of the QFD Phase I Hybrid Micro Hydro-Solar Generator show that the most important characteristics to be improved immediately are Production Costs, Technological Sophistication, and Types of Materials with the highest degree of importance, difficulty level, and estimated cost. From the planning matrix, it is obtained product attributes in the form of power plant prices and energy output priority improvements because they have the largest weight. The technical characteristics that have the highest to the lowest degree of importance are Production Costs, Technological Sophistication, Material Types, Generator Capacity, and Product Mechanisms.
