Abstract

The use of prefabrication components in the construction industry around the world has long been introduced. Malaysia is also not left behind in introducing the use of this type of construction method. The use of pre fabrication components was started in 1960s. However, after more than 50 years, the use of pre fabrication components in each of the construction project is still low  and received less attention. This study looks at the main factors that slow the use of pre fabrication components in the construction industry. This study was conducted by involving company as the respondent. Interview method was used to obtain information and was rewritten in a text form. The result of the interview also found that in pre fabrication, the main problems of stakeholders refused to use this type of construction method due to faster construction time but the payment received was slow and based on progress payment. Most of the projects using the pre fabrication will be completed faster but the payment received from the client are a little late.
