Abstract
This article proposes an improvement in the operations of a warehouse belonging to the automotive sector. An audit was used to identify areas of opportunity within the warehouse. The audit results showed that the picking area is 74% effective due to the downtime generated on tour when supplying an order. Therefore, the implementation of the Dual Cycle Allocation Method is presented to improve performance and reduce costs through the optimization of travel distances. The implementation of KPIs is proposed to measure and control the procedures related to picking.
