Abstract
The Coronavirus Disease 2019 (Covid-19) pandemic has an impact not only on health, but also on social and economic conditions. The government seeks to reduce the burden of household expenditures through the expansion of the basic food program participation and cash assistance, especially to meet food needs and improve community nutrition. However, many village heads and village officials corrupt the social assistance, so that welfare is not enjoyed by the village community but only enjoyed by the village head or other officials. Blockchain technology is a technology that offers a high level of transparency and security with several built-in features. The purpose of this research is to help the government oversee the provision of social assistance so that the stones can be distributed according to their designation. The research method uses a qualitative approach to find problems and alternative solutions using an information technology approach. The result of this research is a monitoring system model for social assistance using blockchain technology
