Abstract
Donk racing, a division of NDRA, is the newest and fast-growing sector of racing in the United States, can serve as a compelling gateway to ignite interest in STEM among young minds. The research attraction is prompted by the diverse fan base and use of applied engineering in an informal setting. By delving into the technological advancements in motorsports and the entrepreneurial components, researchers explore the connection between these fields. Donk racing demonstrates the practical relevance of STEM education in a thrilling and captivating manner for an underserved community. Self-taught mechanic, scientist, and influencer Sage Thomas, aka Donkmaster, is the focus of this case study where STEM and entrepreneurship converge. Thomas is a major factor in legitimatizing this sector of drag racing that may engage more underrepresented minorities in STEM education and careers.
Major findings:
1. Motorsports are more than entertainment. The teachable moments should not be overlooked for culturally relevant STEM lessons and student engagement.

3. There are several hidden career opportunities within and adjacent to motorsports with STEM components and entrepreneurial options.
