Abstract

A more sustainably developed world requires high-quality education. One crucial objective to significantly impact future global leaders in the engineering profession is to implement sustainability in Higher Education Institutions (HEI). The importance of sustainable development has increased as concern about how the environment affects people and organizations has increased. Evaluating students' current knowledge and efforts in various engineering courses is necessary to convey an institution's strategic orientation. The study tries to comprehend the degree of sustainability practiced by the students, who comprise the majority of HEI's stakeholders. In one HEI in Manila, Philippines, the researchers used a mixed methodological study using a sequential explanatory design technique. The researchers designed a survey to gather and process quantitative data. The quantitative results were clarified using qualitative data collected and evaluated during a focus group discussion. The study's findings demonstrate how the HEI may be further advanced by comprehending how change occurs and acting as a catalyst for sustainability.
