Abstract
This study examined the hypothetical model of job security, job satisfaction, and perceived safety, as antecedences for motorcycling behavior. Data collection from 350 motorcyclists, as survey respondent, in Jakarta, utilized purposive-sampling technique, with four instruments which reliabilities were calculated using Cronbach’s Alpha. The goodness of fit and the validity of the Hypothetical model were tested through Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). As hypothesized, job security was a significant predictor of job satisfaction and perceived safety. Perceived safety could predict motorcycling behavior significantly, while job satisfaction could not provide direct impact to motorcycling behavior. Theoretical and practical implications for future directions are discussed.
