The construction of transmission tower lines incurs financial losses and operational challenges due to poor quality, resulting in project delays, structural failures and rework. This study analyses the costs associated with poor quality in the construction of transmission tower lines. Quantitative approach was adopted, using secondary data from archival rework reports on completed transmission tower lines over three years. The findings interpret the cost related to poor quality in the construction of transmission tower lines. Quantitative validation and development were supported by qualitative findings, which provided the specific variables and context. The descriptive statistics were used to analyse the frequency of rework events and the total cost of rework percentage as per the Transmission Tower. The results proved that construction design-related factors is the main drivers of COPQ. This study contributes to the limited body of knowledge on quantifying the COPQ in transmission line tower construction.
