This study explores Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) practices, focusing on their implementation, challenges, and effects on organizational performance in the rubber industry. SRM is essential for optimizing supply chain efficiency, fostering collaboration, and gaining a competitive edge. Using a qualitative approach, data were gathered through semi-structured interviews with key stakeholders, including supplier officers, warehouse managers, and procurement officers. Ethics clearance and study approvals were obtained for the study. Thematic analysis identified key challenges, including supplier resistance to innovation, limited scalability of IT systems, and ethical compliance concerns. The results also emphasize the positive impact of effective SRM practices on key performance indicators, such as operational efficiency, supplier performance, and competitive positioning. Nevertheless, the study identifies areas for improvement, including supplier training, upgrading IT infrastructure, and aligning SRM objectives with the organization’s strategy. Practical recommendations and suggestions for future research directions, such as exploring the effects of emerging technologies and cultural factors on SRM, were provided.
