This study investigates the operational efficiency of the production order and picking process in a manufacturing environment. It specifically looks at the process from the Operational Planner's release of a production order to the delivery of materials that have been picked and packed to the production line. Production orders start a sequence of jobs involving various resources and time distributions as they arrive at the stores, which follows an exponential distribution with a mean interval of seven minutes. Material picking, packing into a mini pallet, loading onto an electric stacker for transportation, and bin location verification in SAP system are all part of the entire workflow. An electric stacker, one pallet for packaging, and seven operators with variable duty durations are essential resources. With an emphasis on throughput optimization and delay minimization, we use this study to identify possible bottlenecks, resource utilization rates, and process flow limitations. Based on the outcomes of the simulation, suggestions are made to enhance workflow effectiveness and resource allocation, which will help to streamline production support and enhance operational planning.
