In recent years, Peruvian textile companies have faced challenges associated with demand variability and lack of control over inventories. These problems generate cost overruns and stock shortages, affecting operational efficiency. In this context, improving inventory management and having standardized processes is essential to maintaining competitiveness. Given this need, an improvement model based on forecasting techniques and process standardization is proposed, with the aim of optimizing turnover in a Peruvian textile company. The model was validated through discrete-event simulation and an operational pilot test, allowing the real impact of the tools applied to be evaluated. The results confirm important findings: inventory turnover increased from 2.0 to 4.3 times per year, inventory record accuracy increased from 78% to 95%, and forecasting error was reduced from 47% to 12%. These achievements demonstrate that the proposed model can generate sustainable and replicable improvements in similar textile companies.
