This study analyzes the skills applicable to the job market for production engineering in the context of Industry 4.0. An exploratory qualitative approach was adopted, based on the document analysis of 528 job advertisements published between 2022 and 2025 in Brazil, Europe, and North America. The results reveal a geopolitical stratification of skills: while mature economies demand disruptive profiles with high intrapreneurial leadership and digital fluency, the Brazilian market prioritizes adaptive profiles focused on operational execution, highlighting a critical "agency gap." The study empirically demonstrates that intrapreneurship has transitioned from a soft skill to a mandatory functional competency. It concludes that global technological convergence has not translated into professional homogeneity, requiring urgent curricular reforms that integrate technical skills with the crucial autonomy needed to overcome the mismatch between academic training and productive reality
