This study investigates the overall energy consumption of the pineapple industry supply chain. Data were collected in Prachuap Khiri Khan Province, which has the largest share of pineapple plantations and processing plants. The study focuses on energy consumption in processing plants, as they are the most energy-intensive part of the supply chain. Energy consumption analysis was conducted at both the plant and product levels. The findings of this study can help improve the cost-effectiveness of policies aimed at enhancing energy efficiency and provide guidelines for energy conservation and reduction in canned pineapple production. These guidelines may also be applicable to industries with similar energy consumption patterns.
