This project addresses operational delays in a small manufacturing enterprise (SME) specializing in the production of aluminum-frame glass windows. Based on a detailed diagnostic using key performance indicators such as order preparation time, the number of reworks, and the level of material waste, the main causes of inefficiency were identified as workplace disorganization, a lack of standardized procedures, and inadequate use of tools. To address these issues, a combined implementation of two Lean Manufacturing methodologies was proposed: 5S, aimed at improving order, cleanliness, and workplace efficiency; and Standard Work (SW), designed to reduce operational variability and ensure uniform execution of critical tasks. As a result of this intervention, and following validation through simulation, the total order preparation time was reduced by 47.06%, rework decreased by 53.55%, and unrecoverable waste was reduced by 64.29%, all of which significantly contributed to the overall efficiency of the production process.
