Modern manufacturing organizations have started to adopt new age technologies to optimize both their financial and transportation workflows to make them stay competitive in the volatile market. Industry 4.0 technologies such as Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Machine Learning (ML) is helping manufacturing organizations to transform their traditional flows into digitalized flows. Though the technological advancements play a crucial role in modernizing the practices, a huge gap exists in integrating both the financial flows and transportation flows in a single framework. This article discusses about development of a single integrated framework that connects the financial and transportation workflows through automation and digital data. The focus of the developed framework is to minimize the manual workflows and to improve the process efficiency by eliminating unnecessary delays and approvals. The developed framework will be helpful for global organizations to seamlessly organize their logistics and financial operations to meet the demands of the industry 4.0 eco system.
