E-waste (or) electronic waste refers to discarded electrical (or) electronic devices, like old phones, computers, etc. As technology evolves rapidly, the volume of E-waste is skyrocketing. Due to this, management of E-waste is crucial for both the environment and human health. This research mainly concentrates on how private and public sector partnerships can be structured to create a profitable circular economy in Ahmedabad. This study was conducted on electrical industrialists in Ahmedabad. We conducted a survey with a questionnaire by google form through whatsapp, facebook and instagram. The questionnaire consists of various questions about E-waste management, public-private partnership and environment safety. Ahmedabad is the sixth largest E-waste producer in India. Ahmedabad is lacking in the number of authorized recycle companies compared to other major cities. So , there is a need for public and private partnerships. Public and private partnerships help to finance, build and operate projects that can typically exceed the scope of what the public sector can manage alone. Unlike privatisation, where the private sector takes over the entire operation. Public and private partnerships ensure that accountability remains with the public sectors and ensures that public interests are safeguarded. By reviewing various opinions given by the industrialists we can conclude that Ahmedabad needs more efficient waste segregation and processing infrastructure.
