Lean Six Sigma (LSS) has established itself as a fundamental methodology for continuous improvement. For this reason, the training of Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (LSSBB) professionals represents a strategic element in optimizing processes at the highest level within organizations. This study aims to achieve three objectives: characterize the demographic profile of participants in an LSSBB training program in Peru, analyze the typology of projects developed during the training program (including project types and tools used), and evaluate participants' academic performance in relation to demographic and academic variables. The research follows a descriptive approach and is based on the analysis of a population of participants in an LSSBB training program in Peru, utilizing data sources such as academic records and final projects from 2015 to 2022. The significance of this study lies in its contribution to understanding professional development in LSS by providing essential insights to improve the design and implementation of training programs for LSSBB professionals in modern organizations. Furthermore, it helps identify professional profiles associated with higher performance, as well as the types of projects and sectors involved, offering valuable information for companies and institutions that promote the training and certification of their professionals in this competency area.
