The research attraction is prompted by the diverse fan base and use of applied engineering in an informal setting. By delving into the technological advancements in motorsports and the entrepreneurial components, researchers explore the connection between these fields. Donk racing demonstrates the practical relevance of STEM education in a thrilling and captivating manner for an underserved community. Self-taught mechanic, scientist, and influencer Sage Thomas, aka Donkmaster, is the focus of this case study where STEM and entrepreneurship converge. Thomas is a major factor in legitimatizing this sector of drag racing that may engage more underrepresented minorities in STEM education and careers.
