ICT (information and communications technology) has been used in the building industry at a rapid rate lately. A corporation can benefit greatly from ICT. Improvements in information collection, processing, and utilization techniques can lead to increased corporate efficiency and improved operational performance. Based on this survey, small medium enterprises (SMEs) in South Africa still need to do better when it comes to using ICT, even though it is beneficial for the construction industry. A crucial concern is training, and this study shows how inadequate the institutions already in place are at integrating ICT into building projects. While the government cannot handle ICT-related training for construction projects solely, it must show greater initiative in this area and foster an atmosphere that supports such training in the City of Ekurhuleni construction projects. Additionally, the ICT sector needs to do more to make sure that potential customers, particularly SMEs in the construction sector, understand what their goods are all about. In this sense, a partnership with the government could prove beneficial. They should also make sure that educating SMEs is a component of their business duty. All stakeholders will benefit from this, since the government has productive SMEs and the private sector can access a wide range of clients, both of which can increase their efficiency and, ultimately, their bottom line. Thus, the construction industry needs to support the use of partnerships to promote ICT training. When looking at the ICT adoption process from the standpoint of the construction sector, technology, task, and individual are all regarded to be involved. Although both practitioners and researchers recognize ICT as a source of aggressive gain, ICT's mere existence does not ensure success in obtaining ICT clearance from the industry. Businesses are only able to benefit from users' adoption of ICT, not from its full potential. As such, it is necessary to investigate the difficulties surrounding ICT adoption.
