Human beings try to find out new alternative energy sources, due to the global warming, climate change and the reduction of fossil fuels. Increasing in industrial development and emerging environmental consciousness, the desired types of energy is required to be environmentally friendly. To be an environmentally friendly energy source passes through as being a renewable energy source. As a consequence, being one of the renewable energy sources, wind energy has received increasing attention as an alternative in usage. With different kind and size of wind turbines, wind energy has reached to a huge area of usage. In this research, a comprehensive evaluation model is constructed to select a suitable wind turbine for personal use in rural. The model incorporates Entropy and TOPSIS methods. Entropy method used to evaluate the criteria for determining the weights, and TOPSIS method is used for selection process.
