The study is carried out to estimate Non Performing Assets of each different branches of a non banking financial institution. Data of five branches are taken and analyzed for the study using Markov Chain analysis. The ranking of branches are made based on the probability of accounts becoming NPA. This will help to understand the reason for the higher probability of account becoming NPA. Further analysis can be extended to high ranking branches and to the sectorial loan disbursement to pinpoint the root cause.
