The teaching of ESP in general and English for industrial engineering in particular, is thorny issue to be tackled. This paper will cover the importance of English among industrial engineering students and its implication to their future and professional career. In this modern era, English is regarded as a lingua franca, and students have to believe that their future is mainly based not only on their technical knowledge in their specialization but also they have to master the linguistic and communicative skills that will help them to integrate in the job market easily. In this regard, this paper will tackle the main skills and content needed in the job market. Bearing in mind that it has been claimed that workplace is in great need of engineers who should have some linguistic abilities so as to facilitate communication among employees.
