Examination of the relationships between occupational safety culture and the physical and psychological health of employees is quite important to decrease the number of occupational accidents. It is also known that most of the occupational accidents are related to human failure(s) in manufacturing and service systems. In this study, an empirical research is conducted to find out the relationships between occupational safety culture and the physical and psychological health of employees in a firm operating plastic packaging waste recycling in Turkey. Data obtained from the questionnaire survey is analyzed by the use of SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences). The results obtained from this study will provide important clues for decision makers and engineers to prevent possible human failure(s) in the system. The results of this study can also be used to prepare the action plan to enhance the current occupational safety culture.
