There are various processes happening simultaneously in a warehouse and the manpower availability is vital to ensure efficient operations. It is very important to have the right count of manpower to ensure flexibility and avoid unnecessary expenses at the time of peak operations. This thesis aims at building a staffing model based on time motion study for the 2 most prominent personas in a warehouse i.e., executive and loaders. This model helps an organization in determining the manpower required to efficiently run a warehouse depending on the current/expected/forecasted volume of sales. Thus, ensuring optimal use of manpower resources and contribute towards cost saving.
