PT Peace Industrial Packaging is a company engaged in manufacturing producing various types of packaging in Styrofoam, Blow Molding Bottles, PET Bottles, and Injection Cap. The company uses a make-to-order system to fulfil every customer request. Therefore, a good layout is one of the important things in supporting the entire production process to run effectively. However, the company is currently implementing a process layout that has not yet maximized production flow, so it requires relatively large travel time, displacement distance, frequency, and cost. This research was conducted to design the improved layout as the best alternative layout solution with optimal flow movement using the SLP (Systematic Layout Planning) method, the CRAFT algorithm (Computerized Relative Allocation of Facilities Techniques), and CORELAP (Computerized Relationship Layout Planning). The final results of the research are calculating the flow of material movement to finished products. These material handling costs consider the distance travelled, frequency, and time of movement and compare the layout results of the three methods to obtain a more effective layout design. The most effective layout is the SLP method in the second design which provides a distance reduction of 60.21% and material handling costs 44.29%. The layout implementation will be visualized using Promodel and Flexsim simulation software.
