Nurse scheduling problems (NSPs) are a challenging obstacle that been approached through many different approaches; however, no optimal approach is set due to uniqueness of every problem and level of complexity that depends on the number of constraints and their nature. NSPs is considered as a special case of staff scheduling as nurses provide vital service to their customers whom are patients in this case, NSPs mostly consist of 24 hours, 7 days a week schedules that requires to be distributed among the nurses in manner that prevents coverage drawbacks and maximize fairness. This work presents a developed program that solves the NSP in emergency department. The results of the program found to be satisfying as the program successfully fulfills the constraints conditions.
