The growth of the automotive industry, especially four-wheelers in Indonesia in the last two decades, has made this industry one of the mainstays for the country in terms of state income and investment by shareholders in the world. The data shows that the total production of four-wheeled vehicles in the last t years shows an improving prospect from around 1 million in 2015 to 1.2 million in 2019, although in 2020 it shows a decline, the phenomenon shows that competition in automotive makes manufacturers and alliances to compete in the productivity of its production system, one of which is by measuring line efficiency (LE), the results show that currently there are 185 stations with line efficiency, the focus of this research is only on the final LH Supply area with a LE value of 64% with line balancing with the Moodie method Young and Helgeson Birnie, the results show that the Helgeson-Birnie method is better than the Moodie Young method overall with a line efficiency of 79%, a balance delay 17% and smoothly index of 32 compared to a line efficiency of 79%, balance delay 16% and smoothly index 32. further research from this research can be done by comparing other methods of line balancing such as Hoffmann–Moodie Young or Hoffmann–Helgeson Birnie.
