Query 1: A paper written by 5 authors is expected to be submitted as a full paper. The paper abstract looks fine but this topic and the technique is very old and well-established topic in SCM. The analysis technique (i.e., FMCDM) is also quite well-known in the literature and it is extensively used in many studies. A work from 5 authors should be much richer than this. Selection of Green suppliers based on GSCM practices: Using fuzzy MCDM approach in an Indian Electronics Company
Abstract
The environmental pressure from various stakeholders, particularly in the selection of suppliers in Industrial sector is alarming. The companies are realizing the significance of incorporating green practices in their daily operations. This paper proposes a framework on the criteria of Green Supply Chain Management (GSCM) practices using a Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) tool to select green suppliers for Indian electronic companies. An empirical analysis is made, and the data is collected from a set of 10 available suppliers. We use Fuzzy Analytical Hierarchy Process (FAHP) approach to rank the suppliers and sensitivity analysis has been performed to examine the influence of the preferences given by the decision makers for the chosen GSCM practices on the selection of green suppliers. Results indicate that the four dominating criteria are the commitment of senior management to GSCM; product design that reduce, reuse, recycle, or reclaim materials, components, or energy; Compliance with legal environmental requirement and auditing programs; and product designs that increase the safety and reduce toxic or hazardous material use.
