The coordination and management of humanitarian crisis can be challenging due to inherent uncertainties associated with the nature of the natural or man-made disaster. This paper introduces emergency stocking plan for disaster recovery encountered by the humanitarian organization, government agencies, and retail supply chains. Delivery of relief aids in the affected area must be done within a certain time limit after the shock. However, there is an increasing gap between relief aids needs and supplies. Humanitarian agencies need efficient and reliable logistics to plan to improve the stocking and remove the sufferings of the affected people. The model presents a framework of a two-stage relief aids stocking plan to find the right stocking decision using the Bayesian statistical technique. The paper contributes to humanitarian crisis management by introducing a framework to predict the number of relief aids throughout the disaster and post-disaster period. An illustrative example demonstrates the systematic procedure of how to implement the relief demand-stocking model for emergency planning.
