This paper describes our approach in reverse engineering (RE) using Artec space spider scanner then design using Geomagic Design X software , to extract the CAD model firstly by scanning & getting the mesh then model it in the Geomagic , This report describe the technique and method we used to come up with the CAD model using an existing physical model. A case study of reverse engineering using Artec space spider & Geomagic Design X for a gear which its engineering drawings are not available.
