This research was conducted in a manufacturing company that produces high carbon wire. The problem faced is that company must do overtime to meet demand even though production capacity is greater than the number of requests. This problem are caused by the actual production time greater than the standard production time and the order of priority scheduling based on first come first serve. The purpose of this study is to schedule using an algorithm in hybrid flow shop for high carbon wire products that can minimize makespan so that overtime decreases. In this study, a comparison was made between 4 conditions, namely conditions using time and sequence of work based on production reports (condition 1), actual time and sequence of work based on bat algorithm (condition 2), standard processing time and sequence of work based on production reports (condition 3 ), and use standard time and sequence of work based on the bat algorithm (condition 4). Based on the results of data processing, it is obtained that the makespan is 551 hours and 82 hours of overtime are required in condition 1, makespan is 545 hours and 76 hours overtime in condition 2, makespan is 478 hours and 9 hours overtime in condition 3, makespan is 439 hours and does not need overtime on condition 4. By using a bat algorithm and standard processing time, the company can eliminate overtime and reduce makespan by 112 hours in condition 1.
