Biography

Elise brings a wealth of experience, having served in various roles within public school settings and Head Start. Those roles include preschool teacher, education manager, instructional coach, and school administrator in preschool through fifth-grade and preschool through eighth-grade schools. In all of her roles, she has supported large populations of predominantly Latino multilingual students and families. She has been a recipient of the NJ Diversity in Education Award from the F.L.O.R. Foundation, the National Excellence in School Leadership Initiative (NESLI) Scholarship for The Latina Women’s Advanced Leadership Program, and the Pacini International Scholarship, which allowed her to study Reggio Emilia practices abroad. Elise holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Northeastern University, a master’s in early childhood education, and endorsements in School Administration from William Paterson University. She has over 15 years of experience collaborating with NIEER on various projects. She is also a wife and mother to three beautiful daughters.
