Emergent Analytics
Dr. Kyle Bahr is the owner of a consulting company called Emergent Analytics, which specializes in social aspects of natural resource development. He is also a visiting lecturer in the Graduate School of Environmental Studies at Tohoku University in Sendai, Japan, where he was previously an assistant professor and lecturer. After completing his Ph.D. in Mining and Earth Systems Engineering at the Colorado School of Mines, he completed a post-doctoral fellowship at the Missouri University of Science and Technology. At Tohoku University he was part of a multi-disciplinary laboratory group that focused on resource development, especially in the area of geothermal energy. His research interests include computational modeling of physical and social phenomena, including diffusion of information, social license to operate, consensus building, and network creation through the use of agent-based simulation techniques.
