Biography

LCDR Jin Hong Yu is an active-duty ROK Navy officer currently studying Modeling and Simulation (MOVES) at the Naval Postgraduate School. He graduated from the US Naval Academy in 2015 with a bachelor's degree in Operations Research. He was commissioned in 2015 as a surface warfare officer in the ROK Navy and has served on various ships including DDG, DDH-II, FFG, PCC, and PKG in the ROK Navy. On shore duty, he was the combined training/operations officer for Maritime Task Force 7 (MTF 7), and has successfully planned and executed RIMPAC 2020 and 2022. LCDR Yu has over 2000 days of sea deployment in 5 ships, including over 150 days of overseas deployment.
