Biography

Dr. Jeanine A. DeFalco is current CEO or Mixta Ré, Inc. She is a adaptive training learning scientist with expertise in simulations and adaptive instructional systems (AISs). She is the Vice Chair for the IEEE Computer Society Artificial Intelligence Standards Committee (C/AISC). At the 2020 I/ITSEC conference, Dr. DeFalco was co-awarded for Best Tutorial for “Fundamentals of Adaptive Instructional Systems (AISs)," In 2019 at I/ITSEC, Dr. DeFalco was recognized with the NTSA Modeling and Simulation Award, Education/Human Performance – Team Award, for Outstanding Achievement in Modeling and Simulation for her contributions on the Generalized Intelligent Framework for Tutoring (GIFT). Dr. DeFalco received her PhD in Psychology from Columbia University (2017), specializing in Human Development/Cognitive Studies in Education with a concentration in Intelligent Technologies, advised under Dr. Ryan Baker. She completed her post-doc at the United States Military Academy at West Point in the Engineering Psychology Department, mentored by Dr. Robert Sottilaire, funded by the Simulation and Training Lab of the Army Research Lab/Army Futures Command.
