Bridgeport ISD
I have been an educator for twenty-two years. My passion is working with ESL students and supporting them and their families as they grow and develop their linguistic skills in English. I taught 1st & 2nd grade self-contained, 4th, 6th, 7th, & 8th grade RLA, and ESL classes over the course of my twenty-two years in education. I was the LPAC Representative at our middle school for six years, and I have been serving in the role of assessment and accountability and Bilingual/ESL coordinator for almost four years.
I have three grown children who make me proud to be their mom every day, and my four dogs and five chickens keep me very busy at home. Reading leadership and faith based books, listening to Christian based and leadership podcasts are ways I continue to better myself. Working out at the gym and walking my small pup are ways that help me relieve stress and stay healthy.
I plan on enrolling in school soon to pursue my masters in education in administration. I love learning and believe there's no such thing as learning too much of a good thing.
