Biography

Siamak Yousefi is Associate Professor at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, Department of Ophthalmology and Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the University of Miami. He received his PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Dallas in 2012 and completed two postdoctoral trainings at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) and University of California San Diego (UCSD). He is the director of the Data Mining and Machine Learning (DM2L) laboratory working on broad applications of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in vision and ophthalmology particularly glaucoma. Dr. Yousefi is a senior member of the IEEE and fellow of ARVO.
