Dr. Roberto Vessani graduated in medicine with a specialization in ophthalmology from the University of São Paulo. He specialized in glaucoma at The New York Eye & Ear Infirmary under the direction of Dr. Robert Ritch. He was head of the Glaucoma Division at the Ophthalmology Department of the Federal University of São Paulo from 2022 to 2025. He will be the next president of the Brazilian Glaucoma Society (2026-2027). He is the author and co-author of several articles in indexed journals and book chapters.
